When I found out about Barrier Virtual Assistants, I wasn’t really sure what it was and how I could be a part of it. Then I met Evonne Barrier. It was an amazing connection and I can’t imagine myself doing anything else but being a virtual assistant for Barrier. She is a professional business woman who has great knowledge in all levels of business. She can connect with businessmen and women and educate them on the value of having one of her assistants help them with their business. Because of these skills, she has a variety of businesses that one could be an assistant for. She has an innate skill of being able to match up the business person to the correct virtual assistant. It is through her extensive interviewing of her clients and her assistants, that she is able to do this. I have worked for various professionals for her and each one was different hence, my duties and responsibilities for each client were different. As Evonne instructed me, as to what each client’s needs were, her patience and understanding were exemplary. I have learned so much from her regarding how to be a virtual assistant and how to keep up with all the changes and short cuts one can do on the computer. She is extremely patience and kind when instructing and teaching her assistants. I simply can’t imagine not doing this for as along as Evonne will have me. And I can’t imagine doing any other type of job. Being a virtual assistant is a very rewarding job and it’s only going to become a more important part of every day business.

Evonne is amazing! She creates an environment with her contractors of trust. She believes in us which in turn makes me want to make her proud. She’s patient, extends grace when you don’t know something, and such a positive light. She inspires me and so grateful our paths crossed.

For me, the biggest value about being a VA is the freedom. It allows me to work when I want, where I want and I'm actually doing things I enjoy like content writing and organizational projects. I also really value the relationships I've made. My clients are genuinely amazing people; and I love that I get to know them. I can't stress enough how much becoming a VA has changed my life!

One of the best things I love about being a virtual assistant is the freedom to work from anywhere. I also love the diversity of people I get to work with.
