Don’t Let Others Underestimate Your Profession as a VA

OCHTeam_BrandPhotos_Nov22_158

As a remote worker, maybe you’ve heard someone say something along the lines of, “Well can’t you just do that later? You work from home, so it doesn’t matter when you get it done, right?”

And while that someone maybe didn’t intend for it to sound degrading, this can still be a common misconception about working from home.

Just because you work from home doesn’t make your work any less important than someone who commutes everyday to a 9-5 job.

One of the many great things that come with becoming a virtual assistant is the freedom to be able to make your own schedule, and work from anywhere. But just because you have this freedom doesn’t mean you can just neglect your responsibilities. Your friends, family, business partners and whoever you surround yourself with should absolutely respect this!

So whether you are working from home or you’re on a trip where you are choosing to work a little each day, make sure the people you are with know your boundaries and respect when you are working.

Don’t let people underestimate your profession as a virtual assistant – you keep doing BIG things to accelerate your growth!

“Barrier Consulting has changed my business and my life. Evonne and her team keep my business goal-focused; moving projects faster toward success (and helping us look good doing it)! Everything they have helped with not only frees up my time and reduces stress but increases revenue too! My business would grow at snail speed without Barrier Consulting.”
