Take Back Control of Your Schedule Before Spring Break

Spring Break is almost here – it’s time for all of you amazing entrepreneurs to go into vaca-mode!

Whether your year has been crazy stressful in a good way (lots of growth, yay!) or in a not so good way, you still deserve time off. Often, people give themselves a hard time, thinking that they don’t deserve time off because their business isn’t meeting those goals you set in place; but in reality, stepping away and taking some time off might be exactly what you need to avoid burnout and gain a fresh perspective.

Now, whether you’re staying in town for Spring Break or taking a much needed vacation, it’s time to block off ALL the time your heart desires off your schedule. Why? Because YOU control your schedule! That’s one of the best parts about being your own boss right? Let’s not forget it.

Not only does blocking time off in advance set boundaries with your team members, but it sets a firm intention of you being off work. You’ve been planning this vacation for a while now, and you’re going to make it happen!

The last thing you want while you’re enjoying your time off with your family is to get a work call or have to jump online to do something because someone didn’t get the memo. You deserve to be off with your family and kids, and enjoy your Spring Break just as much as them! Set up expectations now, have a communication plan and you can relax into your time off with minimum worry.

It’s easy to fall into the mental trap of ‘because it’s your business you always have to be on call or be there to pick up the pieces’. But with the right planning, processes, and team members alongside you – your business can still thrive while you’re away.

“Barrier Consulting has changed my business and my life. Evonne and her team keep my business goal-focused; moving projects faster toward success (and helping us look good doing it)! Everything they have helped with not only frees up my time and reduces stress but increases revenue too! My business would grow at snail speed without Barrier Consulting.”
